Your intention
Project work is teamwork. Teamwork excels, when all team members are able to bring in their expertise, finish their individual work and implement their work packages. You want to learn and experience how to accomplish that.
This Basic Module 3 'Chairing and facilitating project meetings effectively' provides you with tools and methods to lead teams within meetings directly towards success.
What you will learn
You will learn and experience that a good moderation/facilitation of teamwork ensures that all participants can bring in their expertise and ideas, by avoiding endless, circular discussions. You will practice methods and techniques which help to deal with all kinds of different challenges in meetings, so you and your team can celebrate success.
What questions will be answered?
- How do I develop sensitive goals for the next step with the team (e.g. analysing the current situation, make decisions, agree on action items)?
- Which questions motivates and activates the participants to bring in their views and their expertise?
- Which different facilitating methods and techniques help me in different work settings?
- How can I apply project management tools and techniques in group settings?
- How do I secure group communication and results as well as establish the group's commitment to it?
- How do I shape and organise my role (as consultant, executive, project manager) if I have to give up the rather neutral facilitator's position?
For whom is the training intended?
This basic training is for project managers, executives and project consultants as well as for everyone (team members, etc.) who facilitate project group work.
